"White" This was a real challenge for me. Considering I love the vintage distressed, antique look!:) Well ok, I had to go a little out of the box for this one, but I might be on to something. I added material, modeling paste, mirrors and white acrylic paint. It's a little different but over all I'm pleased with this piece.
This weeks challenge we were given the image of this man playing the fiddle. I love these challenges I've been participating in, and seeing all the ways the other artists interpret the same image, word, or theme!
This was fun for me. Again I used a photo of my daughter that she sent. She was playing with photo shop on her computer, I really liked what she did, and with her permission I deceided to use it in this little collage.
"Illusion" is the theme for this weeks Sunday postcard art. I guess there are a lot of ways to intupret this theme. I have decided on "spiritual" Are there really miracles? Angels and fairy's in our gardens? Are they just illusions, does our imagination play tricks on us? I believe in all of them!
"Double Take" is the theme for this week Sunday post card art challenge. I started with three or four ideas, but wasn't sure about any of them. That is why I'm so late posting, well that and computer issues, but they are now resolved. This is my final idea and I am completely satisfied with this one. Here is my idea for double take.
Thank- you Dell! Despite the computer issues I had yesterday, they were resolved today!. Had it been more then 24 hours I would have had blogger withdrawls. LOL:) Thank-You Dell !!!!!!!
Here is my entry for Art Creations Friday.Hope you like it. I had alot of fun with this one.
I was born and raised in southern Michigan. I'm blessed with three children, two boys and a girl that range in age from 22-30. I've been married to a wonderful man for the last 24 years. He's been very supportive of my art and has always encourged my artistic pursuits. Even though I have a fine arts degree I still consider myself largely a self taught mixed media artist. Inspiration for my art comes from many different places. Old family photos, my children, pets, and especially our garden, it's a passion that both Thom and I share.
