Halloween Domino Book Swap

This is a new kind of swap for me. My friend Laura from VPI ( Vintage Photo Image) is hosting a "Halloween Domino Book Swap"
Front

This was my second attempt, I'm sure with more practice I'd be able to get a little more intricate.

Back

A domino is a pretty small surface to work on! All in all, the cover turned out pretty good!

 inside

The inside I've got all figured out!:)

Things that go Bump in the Night

Fall is on it's Way!

It's the beginning of September. Fall, my favorite time of the year! I love the cool weather, the colors, everything about this season makes me feel good!
Halloween is just around the corner, and of course, I have joined in on several Halloween swaps, with my Vintage Photo Image ATC group.
Our Theme for this swap was "Things that go Bump in the Night."  We were given templents of grave stones to use as the base for our trading cards. I cut mine from illustration board and covered it with a light modeling paste let it dry and painted it with a ivory and grey satin acrylic craft paint. and then added my photos, stamps and embellishments. They were so much fun to make! I signed up for six, but ended up with eight, that means two for me:)!!!!!!!!

New Art Journal

This is the cover of my new art journal. I decided to take a risk and send my last one to an Art Journaling publication by Somerset Studio. Hopefully they will like what they see. If not well, I sent return postage. That way I'm assured that they will send it back. Now I just wait to see what happens.

Artist Trading Cards

My very talented friend Michelle and I decieded to do a swap. She picked a theme and so did I. We went with "Vintage Children" and "Steampunk". These are the ATC's I created.  Explore is the title for the first one, I got the image from the Magic Moonlight Images website. I can't tell you the papers  because they are bits and pieces from a scrap pile! For my Steampunk beauty. The gears are Tim Holtz and paper is Bo Bunny and the image again is from Magic Moonlight Images. That has to be my most favorite site to go to for inspiration and that special photo that I need to find.

Taught My First Class!!!!!

It's been a very busy summer so far, and does not seem to be letting up. Working, gardening and camping. Lots of fun!!!!  I also taught my first class! At "Remember When Scrap booking"
This was a technique class, and a lot of fun to teach. I think everyone was thrilled with their finished product.  Both classes were sold out! Everyone seems to be interested in another one. I think I'll use the "Graphics 45 Magic of OZ Collection" for my next project!!!
Thank You Ladies! I'm so glad you enjoyed yourselves!

It's finally Summer!

Finally after a long winter, spring is finally made it's way. I haven't been posting alot of art lately because my garden has been my top priority.
Thom has the pond looking better then it ever has. The water lillies have come back and so have the frogs and most of our Koi. We're hoping to see little ones soon!
Josie used to stalk all of the birds and bunnies in the backyard, now she just sits and watches. That keeps everyone out of my kitchen garden.

I love my garden, it's always a work in progress, ever changing and ever beautiful!
