The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Front
Well it's that time of the year again! The most wonderful time of the year! Thanksgiving 2011 is in the history books. Black Friday is done and over. I avoided it completely and put up all my Christmas decorations. Now I have some time to create. Finally!!!

Back
Chip board puzzle pieces are the ornament of choice this year. Lots and lots of detail!

Time consuming but so much fun to do! I love these projects because they are all so different. One of a kind!:)
Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!

Journal Pages

A couple of years ago, my daughter, Kellyn moved from Michigan across the country to California. It was a pretty big move from our small town.  Needless to say we don't get to see her but maybe once a year. This year for Christmas my husband and I decided to fly her home for the holidays. So she can catch up with family and friends. Can't wait to see you, Kellyn!!!! Merry Christmas!!!!!
I created this two page journal entry using a photo of Kellyn from one of her profile pictures on face book. I wanted to do something as colorful and free spirited as she is. I think my mission was accomplished.

Art Journal Pages

For the last couple of weeks lunch breaks at work have been spent on art journal pages. It's my escape from a loud and very busy classroom. It's only a forty minute escape. I love this time to myself.

Trick Or Treat

Trick or Treat
On Halloween
 the thing you must do
Is pretend that nothing
frightens you.
And if something scares you....
and you want to run.
Just let on like it's...
Halloween Fun!

When Witches Ride!

When Witches Go Riding,
 And Black Cats Are Seen'
The Moon Laughs And Whispers,
Tis' Near Halloween!
This is a 12X4 in. canvas. I used metal charms, fun halloween papers, stickers, and a new product that I wanted to try out for the little witches' wings. It's called Clearly for Art Blackout Modeling Film. It's very cool stuff. First I stamped bat wings on it then cut them out. Hit it with my heat gun until the film was soft, then shaped the wings. When it was cooled I hot glued them to the canvas. The great thing about this is if you don't like the way it looks, you just re-heat it. You can do that as many times as you need to. I really like this product!

In the Blink of an Eye

This is My Daughters best Friend, Sarah! My other daughter! I just fell in love with her profile picture that she posted on facebook. When she posted this photo of her little girl, Pasiley, I knew I had to use them in some art work. I hope she likes it! The next time I see her, I'll be giving her this piece. It's a reminder that I love her and children grow too fast. Enjoy them!!!!!!

Happy October!

I just loved creating my ATC's for the Halloween Pierrot Vintage Post Card Swap so much! Well, I got carried away.
This piece is post card size 4x6. I wanted to post it for the Pierrot theme for Sunday Post Card Art. I was a couple of days too late! That's ok, it was alot of fun to do!

Halloween Pierrot Swap

This group of ATC's happens to be the last of my ATC Halloween swaps and my favorite. I love these little clowns. When I first read the details of the swap, I wasn't quite sure what a pierrot was. After a little research on google images. So that's what there're called! I knew what they were,
just didn't know the name! Here are my creations, enjoy! and Happy Halloween !

Halloween Domino Book Swap

This is a new kind of swap for me. My friend Laura from VPI ( Vintage Photo Image) is hosting a "Halloween Domino Book Swap"
Front

This was my second attempt, I'm sure with more practice I'd be able to get a little more intricate.

Back

A domino is a pretty small surface to work on! All in all, the cover turned out pretty good!

The inside I've got all figured out!:)

Things that go Bump in the Night

Here are three more cards from the VPI swap.
