Spring? Will It Ever Warm Up?

Here's hoping that it will warm up soon.
It's almost May and supposed to be spring
I'd like to get into my garden but right now it's cold outside. Well I guess I'll have to create my own spring. This is a 2X4 inch canvas. Found this sweet little girl in my file of vintage children. I've got twelve more canvases I can play with. Maybe by the time I get those finished it will be warm:) Maybee?????

"Inspired"

After being featured this past week-end on my friend Laura's blog. http://www.artfullymusing.blogspot.com
I was overwhelmed with the response I received on my art. It's wonderful to learn that people really like what you do. I've been inspired to create a few new pieces with some little 2X4 inch canvases that I purchased at Michael's.

I really like working on smaller pieces. I can take them with me, to put on the finishing touches while relaxing on my lunch break at work.

Bathing Beauties

It's been a while since I've posted on any of my favorite challenge sites. The Three Muses had a bathing beauties theme! Ok I can do that one!!!!!  Graphics 45 "On the Boardwalk" :)

Dream

"Week-end Market" by Bo Bunny. It has such a vintage feel. It works perfectly with all of my favorite photos. I'm sure I'll be using it a lot. I don't use stamps very often. most of the time I hand letter the quotes in my pieces. But I came across this stamp by Tim Holtz, just what I was looking for!

Trying Something New

It's always fun to try something a little bit different. For this piece I used two 4X4 canvases, attaches them with some small brass hinges.

The Legs are from Tim Holtz. The papers used are "On the Boardwalk" by Graphics 45

For the inside, the calendar is "Tim Holtz", idea-ology stickers. the papers are Graphics 45. I've used assorted shells, sand, and a piece of a fishing net.

Another wonderful photo that I could not resist. I thought she looked like a beautiful, strong, and independent woman.
Papers are "Week-end Market" by BO BUNNY, the butterfly is Graphics 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe".

The metal pieces: The Key is from 7Gypseys.
While looking through an antique shop I found this key hole. Awesome!!! worked well in this piece.

Happy Easter Everyone!

It's A Wonderful World

When I saw this photo I knew I had to use it in one of my pieces. I think whoever she is, she was absolutely beautiful!
While walking through Achievers the other day I came across the  perfect paper collection to complement her photo. It's called "Week-end Market"

by BO BUNNY. I liked it so much that today I went to "Remember When", a wonderful little scrapbook Store owned by my friend Shannon. She ordered  a 12X12 package of all  the lovely papers in this collection for me.

I will be using them in a lot more of my pieces!
Have I mentioned in the past that I love Vintage?
Yep! I think I Did! ;)
