Sunday Poatcard Art Glimmer, Shimmer and Shine

It's been a while since I've done an art challenge.  This past year has been a whirlwind. Not only did we design and build our dream home but we did it while living 240 miles away from our build site. We sold our home down state in 10 days, moved to a little cabin on a lake, and made our final move in September. I've started a new job while trying to pack and unpack 28 years of memories, and set up the beautiful studio my husband built for me.

We are now home, my studio is somewhat set up!  I needed a little art therapy and inspiration to get me started in my new space, I always check SPA!!!!! This is my post card and thank-you for the inspiration.

Guest Designer for StencilGirl Products!!!!

Last October I received an e-mail from Mary Nasser, the Social Media Coordinator for StencilGirl Products. I was thrilled when she asked me if I would be interested in being  a guest designer on their blog StencilGirl Talk. Yes! I'd love to! over the months I've been working on creating more depth in my art, working in layers, stencils and molding paste are perfect for this. I created this piece for the cover of my 2016 Art Journal along with a tutorial of the process. You can find it here at this link.

I also created my back cover using the same stencil!

2016 Our Year Of Changes!

Lots and Lots of changes going on this year but I'm still making time in my studio for a little "Art Therapy"! This piece is the inside of the back cover of my 2016 art journal.

The quote is part of a poem that hung in the classroom of a teacher I worked with several years ago. It's always been a favorite of mine and I've used it several times. I guess it's just something that will always be close to my heart.
